<p>I&#8217;m a huge fan of Guitar Hero 3 for Wii, but not with the standard vanilla guitar. While it does come with some stickers that you can plaster all over the white plastic, it somehow misses the mark in terms of style. I checked out some of the skins that I&#8217;ve seen at electronics stores and was similarly unimpressed.</p>
<p>So what else was I to do, but create my own skin? <a href="http://www.mytego.com" title="My Tego" target="_blank">Tego</a> offers custom cell phone and GH3 skins that you can apply and remove whenever you would like. You can choose the background color, insert text, or choose a picture from their art library. The coolest part is that you can also upload a picture, resize or turn it, and make your skin truly custom!</p>
<p>Pics after the jump<span id="more-61"></span></p>
<p><a rel="lightbox[axe]" href="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/reanimation-9.jpg" title=" Reanimation Art"><img src="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/reanimation-9.thumbnail.jpg" alt="Reanimation Art" /></a><a rel="lightbox[axe]" href="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/image_00006.jpg" title=" My Axe"><img src="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/image_00006.thumbnail.jpg" alt="My Axe" /></a><a rel="lightbox[axe]" href="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/image_00008.jpg" title=" Destroyer!"><img src="http://txtpression.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/image_00008.thumbnail.jpg" alt="Destroyer!" /></a></p>
<p>I borrowed the artwork from Linkin Park&#8217;s Reanimation inside cover, uploaded it, and had it shipped. It took a while to process my order and ship it from Canada, but it was worth the wait. Getting it flat on such a large surface was really challenging and I probably could have spent more time getting it aligned. The skin also came with a Wii-mote skin to blend with the whole guitar! It&#8217;s a really cool way to finish the look.</p>
